The John Glenn School of Public Affairs uses traditional media outlets as well as its website and social media sites to keep alumni and the public informed about the many exciting events at the Glenn School.
The school has been a leader in the use of social media and through its Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube has provided timely news and helped to build a community around the school.
The Glenn School website has over
well over 10,000 visitor a year with more than 32,000 page views. Its Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn sites have over 800 followers. Video on the school's YouTube site have been viewed more than 10,000 times and there have been over 35,000 views of photographs on its Flickr site.
The Alumni Society has a communications and marketing commitee which works with the Glenn School staff and faculty to:
- create a meaningful and inclusive alumni brand;
- achieve greater visibility for the Glenn School and its programs; and
- to produce more effective communications with Glenn School alumni
The committee may offer input and advice on the Glenn School print newsletter, website, electronic outreach, and event planning and marketing. The committee also is responsible for managing the Alumni Society’s social networking groups.
