What was your motivation for attending the Glenn School? I always had an interest in public service.
What is your favorite Glenn School memory? Our class t-shirts had the slogan “We’re with the government and we’re here to help.” No one took us seriously.
Briefly describe your career path and how you ended up with the job you currently have? I worked for the State of Ohio for 13 years starting with the Attorney General, then the Office of Budget and Management and spent 7 years at the Ohio School Facilities Commission. I then decided to try my hand at consulting. Ohio State was one of my clients and that parlayed into a position with the Office of Financial Services at Ohio State.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to current and future Glenn School students? To get somewhere, you have to do more than seek incremental change. Never forget the importance of sound public policy and what drew you to this profession in the first place. What is the most valuable thing you took away from your Glenn School experience? The confidence in knowing that I was well-prepared by the professors and my varied experiences at the school to shape public policy.
What would your Glenn School classmates be most surprised to know about you now?
My family is absolutely obsessed with hockey. I’m a hockey mom!
