Glenn College students, alumni, faculty and staff are connected by a core belief to serve. It’s in our DNA and one way we collectively honor Senator and Mrs. Glenn’s legacy of service.
Alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the annual Glenn Gives Back Day of Service on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 15, 2018. Groups and organizations throughout the country reserve this holiday for service projects that enrich the lives of others in their community. Both Dr. King and Senator Glenn lived a life of service, and the Glenn College family will gather to honor that legacy by making sandwiches for the St. Lawrence Haven Soup Kitchen. The service event will be held at the Glenn College from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, Ohio ranks third in the nation for food insecurity with 7.5 percent of families forced to skip meals or eat less because of limited resources. The St. Lawrence Haven Soup Kitchen provides 300 to 500 free lunches daily to the hungry Monday through Friday in downtown Columbus.

The Glenn Gives Back Day of Services sponsored by the Glenn College Alumni Society, Young Alumni Club, Public Affairs Student Association, Public Affairs Multicultural Student Organization, Civic Leadership Council and Civic Leadership Learning Community.
