Sarah Bartlome

Sarah Bartlome is a senior from Vermilion, Ohio majoring in public policy analysis with a minor in economics and a specialization in public management. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Bartlome has interned with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus. On campus, Ms. Bartlome served as the Vice President of Recruitment for her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. Ms. Bartlome will intern with the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.  

Emma Berlage

Emma Berlage is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with a specialization in nonprofit management and minors in business and economics. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Berlage interned with the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Mercy Health, and the Cincinnati Museum Center. On campus, Ms. Berlage works for the John Glenn College as an Office Assistant and has traveled to Honduras and Guatemala with Buck-I-SERV. Ms. Berlage will intern at the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute.

Cyan Blackwell

Cyan Blackwell is a senior from Maple Heights, Ohio double majoring in public management, leadership, and policy and sociology. Ms. Blackwell has previously interned with the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Public Defender’s Office. On campus, Ms. Blackwell is involved in Buckeye REACH, the Undergraduate Black Law Student Association, and is a Politics, Society, and Law scholar. Ms. Blackwell will intern at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Destiny Brown

Destiny Brown is a junior from Indianapolis, Indiana majoring in political science with a specialization in inequality and justice and minors in African American and African studies, leadership studies, and public policy. Ms. Brown has previously interned with the Morrill Scholarship Program and the United States Senate. On campus, Ms. Brown is a Social Change Ambassador and a Diversity Ambassador. Ms. Brown will intern at the Federal Judicial Center.

Jenna Ellingson

Jenna Ellingson is a senior from Amherst, Ohio majoring in political science with minors in public policy and world literature. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Ellingson interned with the Columbus Community Refugee and Immigration Services, the Mary Lightbody Campaign, the Ohio House Democratic Caucus, and New Visions Group. Ms. Ellingson has served as the Diversity Chair of her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and is a student manager for Campus Grinds Coffee Shop. Ms. Ellingson will intern with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

Deborah Eshun

Deborah Eshun is a senior from Akron, Ohio double majoring in public affairs journalism and political science with a specialization in inequality and justice and a minor in media production and analysis. Ms. Eshun has previously interned with All Sides with Ann Fisher and WOSU Public Media. On campus, Ms. Eshun’s work can be seen on Buckeye TV News and in OSU’s student newspaper, The Lantern. Ms. Eshun will intern with NBC4 Washington.

Monica Evans

Monica Evans is a senior from Columbus, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with a specialization in community organization and civic engagement. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Evans interned with the Ohio Senate. Ms. Evans has also spent her time as an Afterschool Mentor and Bookseller. Additionally, Ms. Evans studied abroad in Guatemala in a 4-week intensive Spanish speaking program. Ms. Evans will intern at the American Youth Policy Forum.

Alexandra Foltz

Alexandra (Aj) Foltz is a senior from Solon, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with a specialization in community organization and civic engagement and a minor in human rights. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Foltz has interned for Senator Sherrod Brown’s re-election Campaign and the Columbus Women’s Commission. On campus, Ms. Foltz works as a student assistant in the Office of the Dean at the John Glenn College and is a research assistant to Professor Ned Hill at the Glenn College. Ms. Foltz will intern in the United States House of Representatives. 

JG Mason

JG Mason is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with minors in history and business. Prior to WAIP, Mr. Mason has experience working as an Assistant Manager at Petco, as a Grounds Crew Member for a local country club, and for the Cincinnati Parks Department. Mr. Mason will intern in the United States House of Representatives.

Andrew Peralta

Andrew Peralta is a senior from North Olmsted, Ohio majoring in political science with a specialization in American politics. Mr. Peralta has previously interned with the New Visions Group and local and national political campaigns in Columbus. On campus, Mr. Peralta is involved in the Pilipino Student Association and College Democrats. Mr. Peralta will intern in the United States House of Representatives.

Maya Rosenberg

Maya Rosenberg is a senior from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with a minor in history. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Rosenberg has interned with the Florida Democratic Party, the Jewish National Fund, and the Mary Lightbody Campaign. On campus, Ms. Rosenberg is involved with Buckeye Leadership Fellows and Protest OSU. Ms. Rosenberg will intern with NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Emma Kate Sowder

Emma Kate Sowder is a senior from Dayton, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy with a specialization in nonprofit management and minors in political science and history of American public policy and politics. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Sowder interned with the Parliament of Canada, the United States Senate, the Ohio Democratic Party, and March of Dimes. On campus, Ms. Sowder serves on the Executive Council for her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega and is a member of the Mortar Board Senior Honorary. Ms. Sowder will intern at The Wilson Center’s Canada Institute.

Carlee Stewart

Carlee Stewart is a senior from Laurelville, Ohio majoring in public management, leadership, and policy and holds an associate of science degree in agricultural communications. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Stewart has interned for the Ohio Senate and volunteered with the Ohio Republican Party. Ms. Stewart also sits on the Pickaway County Senior Fair Board and is the Director of the Pickaway County Farm Bureau. On campus, Ms. Stewart is a Buckeye Leadership Fellow and involved in CRU. Ms. Stewart will intern in the United States House of Representatives.

Wendy Wei

Wendy Wei is a senior from Kunming, Yunnan, China double majoring in linguistics and international relations and diplomacy with a minor in Japanese. Prior to WAIP, Ms. Wei has worked as a student assistant, office assistant, and security officer at Ohio State. Ms. Wei has volunteered for the Japan America Society of Central Ohio and the International Conference on Conflict Resolution Education. On campus, Ms. Wei is the Vice President of the Oshaberikai/Japanese Conversation Club. Ms. Wei will intern in the United States Senate.

Ryan Westwood

Ryan Westwood is a junior from St. Louis, Missouri double majoring in public policy analysis and philosophy with a minor in quantitative economics. Prior to WAIP, Mr. Westwood interned with the United States Senate and volunteered as a poll worker for his hometown. On campus, Mr. Westwood is involved with the John Glenn Civic Leadership Community and is an Editor for the Undergraduate Journal of Politics and International Affairs. Mr. Westwood will intern at the US Council on Competitiveness.
