Faraz Ansari

Faraz Ansari is a senior from Solon, Ohio majoring in Economics and International Studies with minors in International Relations and Diplomacy and Chinese. Mr. Ansari currently serves as an Office Intern at Manley Deas Kochalski, LLC and is the liaison between the firm and clients on a wide range of issues relating to foreclosures. He interned for the Strickland for Senate campaign as a Finance Intern during the 2016 election. Mr. Ansari will intern at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs.

Rina Baumgartner

Rina Baumgartner is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Economics with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Baumgartner served as a Water Safety Instructor at Aqua-Tots Swim Schools and instructs youth ages 3-12 on how to be safe in the water while increasing skills. She also interned with the Ohio Department of Insurance and served as a Page in the Ohio Senate. Ms. Baumgartner will intern at CQ Roll Call.

Natalie Cizek

Natalie Cizek is a senior from Chesterland, Ohio majoring in Public Health. Ms. Cizek serves as a Telecounselor at Ohio State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions where she supports incoming students with the application process. She volunteered with MedWish in Cleveland and with Nourish International in Peru. At Ohio State, Ms. Cizek is involved with Student for Refugees and Undergraduate Student Government. Ms. Cizek will intern in the Office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Caroline Corona

Caroline Corona is a senior from Mason, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership and Policy as well as City and Regional Planning with a minor in Real Estate. Ms. Corona serves as a Research Assistant at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, where she assists with research focused on the impact of housing and transportation on infant mortality. She also serves as a Community Ambassador for Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services at Ohio State and is a member of Buckeye Leadership Fellows. Ms. Corona will intern at the International Economic Development Council.

Clara Davidson

Clara Davidson is a senior from Shawnee, Kansas majoring in Business and Arts Management with minors in English and Music. Ms. Davidson serves as a Development Assistant in the Ohio State Office of Student Life where she assists with gift acknowledgements for her unit and coordinates special projects. She has also been a Fundraising Intern and Blog Editor for Wild Goose Creative in Columbus, Ohio. At Ohio State, Ms. Davison is a member of Buckeye Leadership Fellows is the Executive Director of the Ohio State Cello Studio. Ms. Davidson will intern at the National Endowment for the Arts.

Anna Defendiefer

Anna Defendiefer is a junior from Cincinnati majoring in Business with a minor in Public Policy. Ms. Defendiefer serves as a Development Intern for the National Farm to School Network where she drafts and sends funding agreements for sponsors of the biennial National Farm to Cafeteria Conference. She also served as an Ohio Senate Page for Senator Scott Oelslager and as an intern for the American Heart Association annual Heart Ball Fundraiser. Ms. Defendiefer will intern at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs.

Abigail Dorey

Abigail Dorey is a senior from Orland Park, Illinois majoring in History and International Studies with a focus on security and intelligence, with a minor in German. Ms. Dorey currently serves as an Academic Affairs Committee Representative with Undergraduate Student Government at Ohio State. She is also a member of Collegiate Council on World Affairs. Ms. Dorey will intern at Battelle, Office of Federal Relations.

Jordan Feliciano

Jordan Feliciano is a senior from Lancaster, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with minors in Aerospace Studies and Economics. Mr. Feliciano is a Cadet with the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Ohio State, where he instructs over 40 underclassmen cadets in drill movements and leadership. He also served as an intern in the Lancaster Office of Congressman Steve Stivers. Mr. Feliciano will intern in the Washington Office of Congressman Stivers.

Drew Flanagan

Drew Flanagan is a senior from State College, Pennsylvania majoring in Political Science and minoring in Business and Spanish. Mr. Flanagan is the Recruiting Director of College Mentors for Kids, a student-led nonprofit that connects Ohio State students with students in Columbus City Schools. He interned at the Ohio House of Representatives for Representative John Boccieri. He also interned for the Parliament of Canada for Member Hedy Fry. Mr. Flanagan will intern at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Freweyni Gemerew

Freweyni Gemerew is a senior from Reynoldsburg, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with minors in Global Public Health and Biology. Ms. Gemerew currently serves as a Policy Advocate and Volunteer with Planned Parenthood of Greater Columbus. Additionally, she works as an HIV/STI Testing Counselor at Equitas Health Ohio. At Ohio State, she cofounded the Public Affairs Multicultural Student Association and led a Buck-I-SERV trip to Atlanta. Ms. Gemerew will intern at the Human Rights Campaign on the Health and Aging Team.

Victoria Haber

Victoria Haber is a junior from Chagrin Falls, Ohio majoring in Economics and Public Management, Leadership and Policy with a minor in Nonprofit Management. Ms. Haber served as an intern for the DeWine-Husted Campaign for Governor where she assisted with campaign events and funding requests with over 6,000 Ohio residents. Ms. Haber also serves as the Co-Founder of the Chagrin Falls Speech and Debate Boosters. Ms. Haber will intern in the Office of Congressman Joyce.

Flora Hong

Flora Hong is a senior from Dublin, Ohio majoring in Psychology and minoring in Public Policy Analysis. Ms. Hong currently serves in two research roles at the Development Cognitive Science Laboratory as well as at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy where she pursues independent research on education policy. Ms. Hong also serves as the Chapter Leader for Students for Education Reform (SFER) on Ohio State’s campus, where she leads college students in grassroots campaigns to reform local and state education policies. Ms. Hong will intern at the Children’s Defense Fund with their Freedom Schools team.

Michael Hurley

Michael Hurley is a senior from Franklin, Ohio majoring in World Politics and minoring in History and Arabic. Mr. Hurley interned in the Ohio House of Representatives in the office of State Representative Theresa Gavarone. Mr. Hurley also served as an intern for a Member of Parliament in Canada. At Ohio State, he serves as the President’s Assistant in the Alexander Hamilton Society and is a member of the Politics, Society and Law Scholars Program. Mr. Hurley will intern at the American Opportunities Alliance.

Gabriel Jackson

Gabriel Jackson is a senior from Columbus majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a minor in Nonprofit Management. He currently serves as a Residential Advisor for the Ohio State’s Office of Student Life, where he is responsible for 50+ residents. Mr. Jackson also served as a peer success leader for the Young Scholars Program at Ohio State and is a member of the John Glenn Civic Leadership Council. Mr. Jackson will intern at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Emma Kagan

Emma Kagan is a senior from Shaker Heights, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with minors in Spanish and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. Ms. Kagan interned for El Centro de Apoyo Integral Tres Manuelas in Quito, Ecuador where she developed and implemented curriculum for more than 75 children focused on gender equality, fair treatment, and violence prevention. At Ohio State, she is a member of Sustained Dialogue and College Mentors for Kids. Ms. Kagan will intern at National Partnership for Women and Families.

Alex Kuenzli

Alex Kuenzli is a senior from Mansfield, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Kuenzli served as a Legislative Page for the Ohio House of Representatives. She is the Vice President of Programming for College Mentors for Kids, a large student-led nonprofit organization that facilitates weekly activities at Ohio State for 1st-5th grade students from Columbus City Schools. She also founded Soccer Kicks 4 Kids Ministry, which collected soccer equipment and monetary donations to bring soccer programs to children in eight countries. Ms. Kuenzli will intern with the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.

Omkar Kulkarni

Omkar Kulkarni is a junior from Melbourne, Florida majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with minors in Economics and Political Science. Currently, he serves as the Representative for Government Relations for Undergraduate Student Government and sits on University Senate as an Undergraduate Caucus Member. Mr. Kulkarni interned for the Ohio House Democratic Caucus where he conducted donor research to identify potential donors for 2018 legislative races. Mr. Kulkarni will intern with the Democratic Governors Association.

Dana Luciano

Dana Luciano is a junior from Baltimore, Maryland majoring in International Relations and Diplomacy with minors in Global Public Health and Spanish. Ms. Luciano serves as a Campus Ambassador for the Peace Corps on Ohio State’s campus, where she educates students on the opportunities and application process of the Peace Corps. She interned for the Casey Cares Foundation in Baltimore during summer 2017. Ms. Luciano will intern in the Office of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.

Ellie MacDonald

Ellie MacDonald is a senior from Granville, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a minor in Environmental Science. Ms. MacDonald spend summer 2017 in Magnetic Island, Australia, conducting research to contribute to efforts of ecological restoration of the Great Barrier Reef. She has also interned for Defend our Future and with the United Way of Licking County. Ms. MacDonald will intern at the World Wildlife Fund.

Gabrielle Minotti

Gabrielle Minotti is a senior from Olmsted Township, Ohio majoring in Political Science and Economics. Ms. Minotti served as a Legislative Page in the Ohio House of Representatives and interned at the Canadian Parliament for a Member from Ottawa. At Ohio State, she is the Editor for the Journal of Politics and International Affairs, an annual undergraduate journal. Ms. Minotti will intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration.

Brandon Muehl

Brandon Muehl is a senior from Findlay, Ohio majoring in Business with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Legal Foundations of Society. Mr. Muehl is the President of Buckeye Coastal Connections, a professional organization for Business students at Ohio State. Mr. Muehl served as a Finance Intern for the Ohio Attorney General. He also volunteers with Flag City Honor Flight, escorting veterans to Washington, DC. Mr. Muehl will intern at Marathon Petroleum, Government Relations.

Stephanie Nnadi

Stephanie Nnadi is a senior from Columbus majoring in Political Science and Psychology with a minor in Criminology. Ms. Nnadi interned on the Joe Schiavoni for Governor Campaign and as a Senate Page at the Ohio Statehouse. She also serves as a Student Subcommittee Member on the Arts and Sciences Honors Committee. Ms. Nnadi will intern in the Office of Congresswoman Joyce Beatty.

Kayleen Petrovia

Kayleen Petrovia is a senior from Lansing, Michigan majoring in Journalism with minors in Spanish and Media Production Analysis. She currently serves as a Resident Advisor for the Ohio State Office of Student Life, supporting 35+ residents. Additionally, Ms. Petrovia serves as an Athletic Host at Ohio State and as a small group leader at H2O church in Columbus. Ms. Petrovia will intern at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Department of Congressional and Public Affairs.

Connor Rigney

Connor Rigney is a junior from Milford, Ohio majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a minor in City and Regional Planning. Mr. Rigney served as an Addiction Policy Intern for Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein, where he researched policies and best practices to address the opioid crisis in central Ohio. He is the Vice President of Administration for Ohio State’s Delta Upsilon. Mr. Rigney will intern at the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Communications and Outreach.

Sydney Rubin

Sydney Rubin is a senior from Robbinsville, New Jersey majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with minors in Political Decision Making and Media and Society Communication. Ms. Rubin served as an Office Assistant at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. She interned for State Representative Kristin Boggs at the Ohio Statehouse and for Phil Murphy’s Campaign for Governor in her home state of New Jersey. Ms. Rubin will intern at CQ Roll Call.

Jenna Schroedel

Jenna Schroedel is a junior from Broadview Heights, Ohio majoring in International Affairs and Diplomacy with minors in Spanish and Public Policy. At Ohio State, Ms. Schroedel Student serves as an Administrative Assistant with the Office of Academic Affairs, where she provides customer services on behalf of the Executive Assistant to the Provost. During summer 2017, Ms. Schroedel traveled to Liberia to work on education projects. Ms. Schroedel will intern at JHPIEGO, working on USAID’s Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program.

Andrew Schulman

Andrew Schulman is a senior from Hudson, Ohio majoring in Political Science, Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and French. Mr. Schulman interned in the Columbus office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. At Ohio State, he serves as the Martin Luther King Day of Service Co-Chair for a campus-wide day of service on MLK Day, engaging 1,000+ students. Mr. Schulman will intern at the Council on Competitiveness.

Vincent Soller

Vincent Soller is a junior from Marysville, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a minor in Military Science. Mr. Soller served as a Senate Page in the Ohio Senate where he provided direct support to Ohio Senator Burke. At Ohio State, he is involved in the John Glenn Civic Leadership Council at with Army ROTC. Mr. Soller will intern in the Office of Congressman Jim Renacci.

Sarah Stradling

Sarah Stradling is a junior from Walnut Hills, Ohio majoring in History and International Studies with minors in German and Philosophy. Ms. Stradling interned at the Columbus Museum of Art where she researched future exhibits. At Ohio State, Ms. Stradling served as treasurer for Ohio State’s Arab Politics Club/Model Arab League and is a member of the Collegiate Council on World Affairs and the John Glenn Civic Leadership Council. Ms. Stradling will intern with the National Endowment for the Humanities in the Congressional Affairs office.

Sarah Tibbitts

Sarah Tibbitts is a junior from Shaker Heights, Ohio majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Ms. Tibbitts currently worked as a Development Student Assistant at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, where she provides support for Glenn College alumni, donors, and scholarship recipients. At Ohio State, Ms. Tibbitts currently serves as the Civil Dialogue Fellow for Hillel International and is the President of Sustained Dialogue. Ms. Tibbitts will intern with the Sustained Dialogue Institute.

David Trajkovski

David Trajkovski is a senior from Brunswick, Ohio majoring in Political Science and Psychology. Mr. Trajkovski interned for the Ohio House Democratic Caucus where he coordinated outreach and fundraising for Ohio House Democratic candidates. He has also served as an intern for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown as well as for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 General Election campaign. Mr. Trajkovski will intern with the Eurasia Foundation.

Dylan Tuttle

Dylan Tuttle is a senior from Springfield, Ohio majoring in Public Policy Analysis and Philosophy. Mr. Tuttle served as an Outreach Intern for Friends of Sherrod Brown, where he managed volunteer recruitment and planned events for the Senator’s re-election campaign. At Ohio State, he serves as a University Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and a Student Administrative Assistant at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Mr. Tuttle will intern with Kearns and West.

Jordan Washington

Jordan Washington is a senior from Euclid, Ohio majoring in International Relations with minors in Business and Spanish. Mr. Washington worked as a Student Assistant at Traditions at Kennedy where he has trained 100+ employees. At Ohio State, he is a member of Collegiate Council on World Affairs and the Band of Brothers Club. Mr. Washington will intern at Battelle, Office of Federal Relations.

Leia Washington

Leia Washington is a senior from Oak Park, California majoring in Political Science and Public Management, Leadership, and Policy. Ms. Washington served as an Ohio Senate Page in the Office of Senator Cecil Thomas. At Ohio State, Ms. Washington serves as a Peer Leader at OSU’s Office of First Year Experience, where she is the orientation leader for 250+ incoming students. Ms. Washington will intern with the Partnership for Public Service.

Elizabeth Wiet

Elizabeth Wiet is a junior from Aurora, Illinois majoring in Business with a minor in Political Science. Ms. Wiet currently worked as an Office Associate at Student Legal Services, where she is responsible for intake appointments for Ohio State students seeking legal services. At Ohio State, she serves as a Committee Representative for the Undergraduate Student Government. Ms. Wiet will intern in the Office of U.S. Senator Dick Durbin’s for the first half of summer, and with Ohio State’s Office of Federal Relations for the second half of summer.

Ray’Chel Wilson

Ray’Chel Wilson is a senior from Toledo, Ohio majoring in Public Health specializing in Sociology and Pre-Law. Ms. Wilson worked as a Page in the Ohio House of Representatives. Additionally, she served as the Site Coordinator for Lead the Way Learning Academy, where she tutored and supervised 50+ students. At Ohio State, Ms. Wilson is a HIV/STI Test Counselor Volunteer with the Ohio State Student Wellness Center, secretary of the Multicultural Public Health Student Association and vice-president of “Why Us?”, an anti-human trafficking campaign she helped found. Ms. Wilson will intern with the Federal Judicial Center.
