Noor Alshafie

Noor Alshafie is a junior from Dublin, Ohio, majoring in International Studies with a specialization in International Relations and Diplomacy, with minors in Global Public Health and History. Ms. Alshafie is a Resident Advisor on Campus and an involved member of BuckeyeThon, Buckeye Leadership Fellows, and Politics, Society, and Law Scholars. Ms. Alshafie also serves on the Youth Advisory Committee Board for the National 4-H Council. Ms. Alshafie will intern at the Peace Corps.

Jasmine Anthony

Jasmine Anthony is a senior from Westerville, Ohio, majoring in Political Science with minors in African and African American Studies and Philosophy and a specialization in Political Leadership and Reform. Ms. Anthony is a Resident Advisor on campus and a board member of the Committee for Community Outreach and Engagement within Central Ohio Young Black Democrats. Ms. Anthony spends time volunteering with ALL THAT, a mentor program for teens. Ms. Anthony will intern in the office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Margaret Ash

Margaret Ash is a senior from Massillon, Ohio, majoring in English with minors in Business and Public Policy. At Ohio State, Ms. Ash works as a Recruitment Host for visiting student athletes and is involved with Undergraduate Student Government as Director of Student Affairs. Ms. Ash is also a contributing writer at CityScene Media Group in Columbus. Ms. Ash will intern at the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Marah Bae

Marah Bae is a senior from Toledo, Ohio, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies. Ms. Bae has interned and mentored for Community Refugee and Immigration Services in Columbus and is a student leader for the Morrill Scholars Program on Campus. Ms. Bae has also volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of America in Columbus. Ms. Bae will intern at Emily’s List.

Thomas Bowles

Thomas Bowles is a senior from Westlake, Ohio, majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy. Mr. Bowles has interned with The David Project, Senator Sherrod Brown’s office, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur’s office, and Ohio Together. At Ohio State, Mr. Bowles is involved in Buckeye Leadership Fellows, Buckeyes for Israel, Mount Leadership Society, and the Ohio State Wrestling Club. Mr. Bowles will intern with Alignment Government Strategies.

Liz Brett

Liz Brett is a senior from Chardon, Ohio, double majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, with a specialization in Power, Institutions, and Economies. She is also pursuing a minor in Political Science. Ms. Brett has interned with Innovation Ohio and House Representative Boyd’s Office. On campus, Ms. Brett is a member of Humanities Scholars and Undergraduate Student Government. Ms. Brett will intern in the office of Congresswoman Joyce Beatty.

Conan Cao

Conan Cao is a senior from China double majoring in Public Affairs and Economics. On Campus, Mr. Cao is a Peer Career Coach and Liaison Chair of the Chinese Students and Scholars Society. Additionally, Mr. Cao has worked with the City Auditor, Battelle Center, and J. Walter Thompson. Mr. Cao volunteered with Buck-I-Serve to serve his community and communities across the country. Mr. Cao will intern with Manchester Trade Limited.

Jonathan Cohen

Jonathan Cohen is a senior from Hunting Valley, Ohio, majoring in Political Science with a specialization in American Politics. Mr. Cohen interned with Friends of Sherrod Brown, Ohio State Hillel, and StandWithUS. At Ohio State, Mr. Cohen has worked with BUCKiPAC and was a member of the International Affairs Scholars Program. Mr. Cohen will intern in the office of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.

Anya Cohen

Anya Cohen is a senior from Granville, Ohio, double majoring in History and Anthropological Science. On campus, Ms. Cohen is involved with BuckeyeThon, Ohio State Jewish Studies Student Association, and Ohio State Ruach. Ms. Cohen can also be seen giving campus tours and supporting undergraduate admissions as University Ambassador Captain. Ms. Cohen will intern at the National Archives.

Kate Doherty

Kate Doherty is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in Political Science with a specialization in Democracy and Law and a minor in French. Ms. Doherty has previously interned with State Representative Koehler and The First Tee of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Professionally, Ms. Doherty has worked as Constituent Aide for State Representative Schaffer. On campus, Ms. Doherty is involved with College Republicans and has volunteered with the Ohio Republican Party. Ms. Doherty will intern at Marathon Petroleum on their government relations team.

Tomara Dorsey

Tomara Dorsey is a senior from Dayton, Ohio, double majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Sociology. On campus, Ms. Dorsey is a Resident Advisor, Diversity Ambassador, Social Change Ambassador, and is President of Ladies of Leadership where she mentors a cohort of 18 freshman women of color. Professionally, Ms. Dorsey has interned with the Ohio House of Representative and the Children’s Defense Fund. Ms. Dorsey will intern at the Children’s Defense Fund in DC.

Madeline Drinko

Madeline Drinko is a senior from Broadview Heights, Ohio, double majoring in Political Science and History with a specialization in Democracy and Law. At Ohio State, Ms. Drinko is a member of Mount Leadership Society, Ohio Union Activities Board, serves as an Honors and Scholars Ambassador, and as a Resident Advisor. Professionally, Ms. Drinko has worked for Mandel JCC J-Day Camps and the Office of Student Life at Ohio State. Ms. Drinko will intern in the office of Congresswoman Marcia Fudge.

Megan Garry

Megan Garry is a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, double majoring in Public Health and Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a specialization in Sociology. On campus, Ms. Garry is a part of the Ohio Union Activities Board, College Mentors for Kids, and Undergraduate Student Government. Ms. Garry has interned in state Senator O’Brien’s office and worked as an administrative assistant in the Kuhn Honors and Scholars House. Ms. Garry will intern at Women in Government.

Lei Guo

Lei Guo is a senior from China double majoring in Public Affairs and Political Science. On campus, Ms. Guo is involved with Undergraduate Student Government, Collegiate Council on World Affairs, and is a co-founder of International Student Council. You can find Ms. Guo leading tours on campus to prospective students as a University Ambassador. Ms. Guo will intern at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Madeleine Haas

Madeleine Haas is a senior from Beachwood, Ohio, double majoring in Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Creative Writing. At Ohio State, Ms. Haas is the Outreach Director for Student Advocates for Sexual Health Awareness, a member of Backburner Sketch Comedy, and involved with Undergraduate Student Government. Professionally, Ms. Haas interned with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Friends of Sherrod Brown, and Equality Ohio. Ms. Haas will intern at EMC Research.

Drew Halford

Drew Halford is a senior from Toledo, Ohio, double majoring in Arts Management and Economics. Mr. Halford previously interned with the Choral Arts Society of Washington and VSA Ohio. On campus, Mr. Halford is a Resident Advisor and was the 2018 Barnett Symposium Coordinator. Additionally, Mr. Halford was a Student Advocacy Participant at Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, DC in 2018. Mr. Halford will intern with Washington Performing Arts.

Alexandra Hensley

Alexandra Hensley is a junior from Hamilton, Ohio, double majoring in Public Affairs and City and Regional Planning: Urban Policy and Management Specialization. At Ohio State, Ms. Hensley is involved with Ignite, Sustained Dialogue, and Undergraduate Student Government. Professionally, Ms. Hensley has interned with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services and Friends of Sherrod Brown. Ms. Hensley will intern with the Department of Transportation, Office of the Secretary.

Lucy Herbert

Lucy Herbert is a senior from Marine City, Michigan, double majoring in Public Policy and Strategic Communications. On campus, Ms. Herbert serves as Communications Coordinator for BuckeyeThon and volunteers with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed. Professionally, Ms. Herbert interned with the Ohio House of Representatives, Ohio State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Ms. Herbert will intern at the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Vidhya Jeyadev

Vidhya Jeyadev is a senior from Rochester, New York, double majoring in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science with a specialization in Urban Policy and Management. She is also pursuing a minor in Organizational Communication. At Ohio State, Ms. Jeyadev is a University Ambassador, member of Undergraduate Student Government, consultant for Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations, and University Senator for Ohio State Shared Governance. Professionally, Ms. Jeyadev has worked for the Empire Justice Center and the Mary Lightbody Campaign. Ms. Jeyadev will intern with the Democratic Governors Association.

Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson is a senior from Dublin, Ohio, majoring in Political Science with minors in History and Public Health. On campus, Mr. Johnson is an active member of the Ohio Union Activities Board and Undergraduate Student Government. Professionally, Mr. Johnson has interned with Friends of Sherrod Brown and was a campaign volunteer for the Ohio Democratic Party. Mr. Johnson will intern at the Federal Judicial Center.

Logan Kohl

Logan Kohl is a senior from Grove City, Ohio, majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a specialization in Nonprofit Management. Mr. Kohl is President of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and a member of Greek Cru at Ohio State. Previously, Mr. Kohl has interned with the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks and The Lunch Box Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Kohl participated in the Nonprofit Immersion Program at Ohio State. Mr. Kohl will intern with the Partnership for Public Service.

Maya Majikas

Maya Majikas is a senior from Mentor, Ohio, double majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Political Science, with a minor is Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. At Ohio State, Ms. Majikas is involved in OSU Votes as Director of Workshops and Tabling. Previously, MS. Majikas has interned with NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, Cleveland Council on World Affairs, and the Ohio House of Representatives. Ms. Majikas will intern at Women in Government.

Kerin May

Kerin May is a senior from Dayton, Ohio, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Public Policy. Ms. May has interned with Daybreak Youth Shelter and Fairborn Primary School. Additionally, Ms. May has worked for the Ohio State’s Office of Advancement and Sinclair Community College’s Office of Research. Ms. May also volunteers with The Ronald McDonald House in Dayton, Ohio. Ms. May will intern at SOS Children’s Villages.

Gage Miller

Gage Miller is a senior from Newcomerstown, Ohio, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Legal Foundations of Society. On campus, Mr. Miller is engaged in Politics, Society, and Law Scholars, serves as Treasurer of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and is a member of Booked and Busy Book Club. Mr. Miller has worked professionally in the Office of Advancement at Ohio State and has interned with the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus. Mr. Miller will intern at the Federal Judicial Center.

Megan Ryser

Megan Ryser is a senior from Garrettsville, Ohio, double majoring in Public Policy Analysis and Economics with a minor in Business. At Ohio State, Ms. Ryser is President of the Pregnant on Campus Initiative and serves as a Resident Manager. Previously, Ms. Ryser has interned with the Equal Rights Institute, the Ohio House of Representatives, and the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission. Ms. Ryser will intern with Nucor Public Affairs.

Alexander Schepflin

Alexander Schepflin is a senior from Dublin, Ohio, double majoring in Political Science and Economics with minors in Media and Society, Security and Intelligence, History of American Politics, and Public Policy. On campus, Mr. Schepflin is a member of the Men’s Ice Hockey Club and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Past internships of Mr. Schepflin include the Office of United States Democratic Leader, the Ohio House of Representatives, and the United States Senate. Mr. Schepflin will intern with Battelle, Office of Federal Relations.

Kaitlyn Tomko

Kaitlyn Tomko is a senior from Solon, Ohio, double majoring in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy and Political Science, with a specialization in American Politics. She is also pursuing a minor in Dance. At Ohio State, Ms. Tomko is serves as Director of Academics for Alpha Phi and is a member of Order of Omega. Previously, Ms. Tomko interned with the Ohio Republican Party, the Office of Senator Portman, and Congressman Joyce’s office. Ms. Tomko will intern in the office of U.S. Senator Rob Portman.

Attiyya Toure

Attiyya Toure is a senior from Pickerington, Ohio, double majoring in Public Affairs Journalism and Public Management, Leadership, and Policy. At Ohio State, Ms. Toure is the President and Co-Founder of the National Association of Black Journalists, a News Reporter for The Lantern, and a member of Student Leadership Advocates. Professionally, Ms. Toure has participated in Buckeye Student Leadership Academy and worked for Wexner Center for the Arts. Ms. Toure will intern with the Peace Corps.

Jarod Wade

Jarod Wade is a senior from North Ridgeville, Ohio, majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a minor in Economics. At Ohio State, Mr. Wade serves as Resident Advisor, Student Research Assistant, and Office Assistant. Mr. Wade is the Senior Advisor of the Baker East Governance Organization. Previously, Mr. Wade interned with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. Mr. Wade will intern with the Council for Court Excellence.

Hannah Wagner

Hannah Wagner is senior from Cleves, Ohio, double majoring Political Science and English. On campus, Ms. Wagner is President of Sound of Science A Cappella group and is a Senior Staff Writer and Editor for the Sundial Humor Magazine. Professionally, Ms. Wagner has worked for the Office of Student Academic Success and the Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio. Ms. Wagner will intern with the Peace Corps.
