If you are looking to make a change in the world the John Glenn College of Public Affairs’ Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs is a great place to start. Our curriculum will give you the skills to work in government, nonprofit organizations or any place where analysis and leadership are needed. The small size of the Glenn College, relative to other colleges at Ohio State, provides a close-knit academic community and a level access to faculty and staff that greatly exceeds student expectations.

Prospective freshman and transfer students can apply to Ohio State directly as Public Affairs majors. As long as they are admissible to the University, they will be admitted to the Glenn College. For more information about the Ohio State application, and undergraduate admissions processes please visit undergrad.osu.edu.

Incoming freshmen also have the opportunity to participate in the John Glenn Civic Leadership Community and live with other students interested in service and policy.

Future students and their families can schedule a visit to the John Glenn College as a part of the Ohio State University admissions process. Register for a campus visit on the OSU Campus Visit site, and select "Public Affairs" under "Academic Interest."

Prospective students can also schedule an individualized visit by emailing Chris Adams at adams.615@osu.edu. When emailing to schedule a visit, please answer the following questions in your email body:

  1. When would be an ideal day/time for your visit (please give multiple options)?
  2. What is the purpose of your visit?
  3. What are your policy or research interests? (This can be broad and you can list as many as you like)
  4. Which of the following activities interest you? (we will do our best to accommodate)
  • Meeting to discuss admissions/academics
  • Meeting with Career Services
  • Sitting in on a class
