David Hibler

Researcher

David Hibler (he/him) is a researcher with The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs, working with the Battelle Center for Science, Engineering and Public Policy to deliver actionable research for public and community partners. He is a lead researcher for the 2026 Ohio Military-Connected Community Assessment for the Ohio Department of Veterans Services and supports related workforce-research projects.

He brings strengths in survey design, mixed-method evaluation, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, with cross-disciplinary specialization ranging across psychology, public health, complexity, wicked science, demography and evolutionary biology. Hibler is completing his PhD in Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology at Ohio State. A U.S. Army veteran and Tillman Scholar, he has contributed to a large amount of veteran-focused research on PTSD, chronic pain, engagement and access to care, and he serves on the advisory board of the Central Ohio Beekeepers Association Veterans Beekeeping School.
