Career Advising
Tailor your trajectory. The Glenn College career advisor will help you navigate and personalize your path to a public affairs career. Your advisor is here to meet to assist you in navigating and personalizing your path through public affairs and post graduation employment. Appointment offerings include:
We cover basic resume and cover letter writing to tailor your resume and cover letter to the particular job or internship opportunity you are seeking. Please have a draft resume and/or cover letter to share before your appointment.
When should you start searching and applying for jobs and internships? We can help you to develop a timeline and plan that is right for you. For most students the search and career exploration starts your first day of classes to ensure you are ready for the job you want at graduation.
Unsure where to start? We will create customized tips, best practices and tailor resources that align to the type of job and public affairs career path that is the best fit for you, starting with internships and graduating to your first career position.
We prepare students for interviews by preparing your story to the job or internship for which you are seeking. You do not need to have an interview scheduled to benefit from a Mock Interview, this is a skill you can never practice too much.
Meet with an advisor to understand your offers and negotiation options, and to weigh potential opportunities.
