Don Stenta

Distinguished Adjunct Professor and Assistant Vice President for Alumni Experiences

Don Stenta, Distinguished Adjunct Professor, teaches in the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program, PA 6060 (Managing People in Public and Non-Profit Organizations) and PA 7503 (Higher Education Policy Issues for Public Leaders). He also serves on the graduate studies committee.

A student and scholar of leadership, Stenta has taught and written extensively on the topic and continues to be inspired by the amazing students and Glenn College colleagues to continue to advance Sen. John Glenn and Annie Glenn’s legacies. Working with the Glenns and former Glenn College leaders and alumni to establish what is now the John Glenn College of Public Affairs continues to be a point of pride in Stenta’s Ohio State career.

Stenta recently retired from a 32-year administrative career, most recently serving The Ohio State University Alumni Association as an assistant vice president. Prior to that position, he served in several roles with Student Life (Residence Life, Student Activities, Ohio Union, Recreational Sports) and in student services roles at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. He also is a faculty mentor with the Second-Year Transformation Experience Program (STEP). Don is a proud graduate of Ohio State, having earned his PhD in educational policy and leadership in 2001, with a cognate in public policy and management. He also has degrees from Binghamton University and the University of Vermont. Stenta has worked at Ohio State since 1992.

Stenta has taught part time with the Glenn College since 2003 and is thrilled to serve as a full-time senior lecturer as of January 2025.
