Dialogue: The Changing World of College Sports

Event Date
February 27, 2024
Time
6-7 p.m.
Location
Ross Community Studio at WOSU

In his 50 years in college sports, retiring Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith has seen a lot of change.  But the amount and pace of change the past few years makes the mind spin.  Conference realignment, players earning sponsorship money and the transfer portal have upended college athletics.

In the next edition of Dialogue presented by Ohio State’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs and WOSU Public Media, Gene Smith and  women’s volleyball Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg discuss the rapidly evolving world of college athletics and what it means for coaches, athletes, and fans. WOSU’s Anna Staver will moderate.

This event is open to the public. Registration is required.

What is Dialogue? Dialogue is a series of thought-provoking discussions about the most challenging issues facing our community and country. This program is produced through a unique collaboration between the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and WOSU Public Media
