The ASC Leadership Major presents Former Senator (R-AZ) and Ambassador Jeff Flake on "Why the World Needs Leaders."

Jeff Flake was a Senator and a Representative from Arizona. He was born in Snowflake, Navajo County, Ariz., December 31, 1962. He graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah in 1986 and received an M.A. from Brigham Young University in 1987. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-January 3, 2013), he was elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 2012, and served from January 3, 2013, to January 3, 2019. From 2022-2024, he was U.S. Ambassador to Turkey.
