Jillian Rose

John Glenn Graduate Fellow

Jillian Rose graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Arabic Language and Literature. During her undergraduate career, she stayed busy while volunteering at various nonprofit organizations, in addition to completing supplementary coursework and certifications in Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence. Several of Ms. Rose’s policy areas of interest include maintaining positive international relations, securing human rights for all, and sustainable environmental policy, among others.

Ms. Rose chose the MPA-DC program for the opportunity to establish connections, gain professional work experience within a federal agency, and complete her degree while jump-starting her career in Washington, D.C. She is looking to expand her diverse policy interests while in D.C., as well as begin to develop a career in which she can help shape policy in a way that is beneficial to all, while inspiring and empowering other women in leadership positions.

Ms. Rose deeply values the leadership, inspiration and devotion to positive change exemplified by her peers within the MPA cohort. Additionally, the robust alumni network that the John Glenn College provides, both in Columbus and D.C., is a great highlight of the program for Ms. Rose. Through the MPA-DC program, Ms. Rose is confident that she will grow professionally and personally as a public servant and is grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a unique and valuable program.
