Justin Ryan

Justin Ryan graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Political Science and a certificate in Public Relations. Mr. Ryan found in his studies at the University of Cincinnati he had a passion for policy work, and he also found through his senior capstone he was interested in nonpartisan work. While in undergraduate Mr. Ryan had the unique opportunity to intern with The Walt Disney World Company. Being a lifelong dream of his, he impacted the lives of hundreds of families and met people from all walks of the world. He cultivated his communication and cultural competency skills while working for The Walt Disney World Company. 

Mr. Ryan chose the MPA-DC program due to the unique program structure that allowed him to finish his degree while getting a head start in his career in Washington D.C. Justin also chose The Ohio State University due to their vast alumni network. By pursuing a career in public service, he hopes to engage directly in LGBTQ policy not only domestically, but also internationally through outreach and other program implementation. 

Mr. Ryan has valued the opportunity to be back in the classroom this year and appreciates the professors’ extensive knowledge on course materials. The professors here at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs inspire him to make this world a better place through policy work and public service.
