FACES in Georgia Perinatal Health is an interdisciplinary, interprofessional, experiential learning opportunity for Emory students. Students selected for this competitive fellowship program engage with leaders in perinatal health-focused organizations and develop skills in legislative policy and advocacy, and programming to advance pregnant and postpartum care in Georgia. Responsible for program conception, implementation, and ongoing engagement with students and community partners.

Lead the Way Durham: Civic Engagement, Social Innovation and Community Leadership in the Bull City (Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University) - Designed and taught this experiential learning course for Duke students to engage with organizations in Durham to develop context specific solutions for a community identified need.
Leadership, Value Conflicts and Public Life (Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University) - Designed and taught this preparatory course that is part of the Service Opportunities in Leadership (SOL) Fellowship focused on leadership development, human centered design, and ethical community engagement approaches.
Leadership for Positive Change (Institute for Leadership & Entrepreneurship, Scheller College of Business) - Designed and taught the capstone course in the Minor in Leadership Studies, combining inclass lectures and guided experiential work in community settings.
Curricular/Co-Curricular Programs
Service Opportunities in Leadership (SOL) Fellowship
Duke’s SOL program is a yearlong fellowship consisting of a preparatory course in the spring, a summer service/research project combined with high touch mentoring, and a capstone fall course.
- Responsible for advertising, selecting, recruiting, advising and mentoring undergraduate students (approximately 15-20 per year) enrolled in the program.
- Doubled applicants to the program in less than two years. Significantly increased program reach and applicant pool through active outreach. Minor in Leadership Studies
An Interdisciplinary academic minor for undergraduate students pursuing all majors at Georgia Tech focused on leadership development.
- Responsible for student recruitment, admissions, advising, and degree progress monitoring for an interdisciplinary program that grew to 130+ students in three years through active in-person, print & web marketing.
- Development and mentoring for students by creating ‘real-world’ learning opportunities in partnership with area organizations and community partners. Created 20+ projects over three years.
Hart Fellowship Program
The Hart Fellowship Program is a 10-month immersive leadership development experience for new graduates of Duke University.
- Primary responsibility for administering and overall management of this highly competitive fellowship program, including program promotion; selection and recruitment of fellows, and post mentorship throughout the fellowship experience.
