Mandy Mallot

Mandy Mallott is the director of the Ohio State Early Investor Network (OSEIN), a community of individual investors including alumni, parents and friends of The Ohio State University, united by their passion for entrepreneurship and angel investing. OSEIN connects these investors with startups that have Buckeye ties or are commercializing university-driven technologies.

Previously, Mallott served as a business development specialist for the City of Columbus Department of Development, focusing on job creation through site development and business expansion. She also led the city’s efforts in site selection and opportunity zones.

Her background includes roles with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she worked in international trade enforcement and federal economic development, and as a legal analyst for the U.S. Trade Representative on trade agreement negotiations. She also worked on economic development at the state level with the Ohio Department of Development.

Mallott was recognized as a 2024 Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 honoree. She holds a JD and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Management from John Glenn College of Public Affairs, and a BA in English and political science from Case Western Reserve University. In her free time, Mallott serves as president of the Columbus Academy Alumni Board, fundraising chair for Fairy Goodmothers and assistant varsity swim coach at Columbus Academy, and she runs her own art and antiques business.
