Megan Kilgore

Lecturer

Megan Kilgore is a nationally recognized public finance and innovation leader who most recently served as the elected City Auditor for the City of Columbus, Ohio. During her tenure, she helped oversee billions in public assets and investments while leading major modernization initiatives across finance, technology and operations.

Before serving in elected office, Kilgore advised governments across the country on public infrastructure, economic development and complex public-private partnerships.

Kilgore is a frequent national speaker on topics including leadership, public finance, technology, artificial intelligence in government, and the future of infrastructure and cities. Her work has been recognized by organizations including the Volcker Alliance, the Richard Ravitch Public Finance Initiative and the Milken Institute.

As an adjunct lecturer at John Glenn College of Public Affairs, Kilgore is passionate about mentoring students and encouraging the next generation of public leaders to think boldly and creatively about solving complex challenges. She believes government and innovation belong in the same sentence — and that public service can be one of the most meaningful places to build, modernize and improve systems that directly impact people’s lives.

Kilgore is co-founder and co-CEO of BKC Group, a market infrastructure and strategic advisory platform focused on modernization of the municipal securities market.
