What inspires you to work in public service?
Seeing people in great need is what inspires me to work in public services.

What is your major, and do you have any minors or specializations?
Major: Public Management, Leadership, and Policy. Minors: Civic Engagement, AFAMAST

What coursework or academic experiences have most shaped your interests in policy, leadership or public service?
One class that shaped my interest in policy leadership is Public Affairs 2120: Public Service and Civic Engagement. I researched the topic of homelessness in the class for the final project, I gained more motivation to tackle that issue in the future.

What specific skills or experiences do you bring to your internship?
Written and Verbal Communication, Microsoft Office, Teamwork. Experience in office settings. Experience with constituent outreach. Experience in executive and legislative branches as well as non-profits.

What strengths do you most rely on when collaborating with others?
Approachability, Active Listening, Conflict Resolution

What are your career goals and how do you hope this fellowship will support your professional journey?
I hope to have a political career one day. I hope this fellowship will help me better understand the systems that I hope to influence in the future.

What is your favorite or most impactful project from a previous role?
One of the most impactful projects I’ve done was when I was working at a nonprofit in my home county called Neighborhood Alliance. There, I helped with a program called meals on wheels where I helped prepare and deliver hundreds of meals to seniors in need.
