Glenn College continues to rise in international rankings

The John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University has been ranked as the 10th best in the world in the Public Administration category in the 2019 ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. Last year the Glenn College was ranked at 13th best and in 2017 the Glenn College was ranked at number 19.

ShanghaiRanking began publishing rankings by academic subjects in 2009. In these latest rankings, more than 4,000 universities were ranked by 54 subject areas across Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. The rankings are based on the number of papers authored by an institution in an academic subject, the citation impact of the papers, the percentage of internationally co-authored papers, the number of papers published in top journals and the total number of the staff of an institution winning significant awards.
