The Ohio State University ranked No. 5 internationally and No. 1 in the U.S. in public administration according to ShanghaiRanking Consultancy’s 2023 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.
This ranking includes public administration research produced by Glenn College faculty, doctoral students and research staff as well as scholars in other colleges and departments in the university.
ShanghaiRanking uses a range of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in relevant subjects, including research output, research influence, international collaboration, research quality and international academic awards. The indexes of top journals and international academic awards are based on the Academic Excellence Survey conducted by ShanghaiRanking.
U.S. universities fill six of the top 10 slots in the public administration rankings. The top 10 universities in public administration programs, from one to 10, are Aarhus University, Leiden University, Utrecht University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Ohio State University, Florida State University, Rutgers University - Newark, Indiana University Bloomington, American University and Arizona State University.
