Public Leadership Academy for Elected Officials

Develop Leadership. Inspire Citizenship.

The Public Leadership Academy brings together a bipartisan group of state and local elected leaders who want to build trust across the aisle and return to political life with a better understanding of their colleagues and a renewed commitment to public service.

Program Highlights:

Designed for newly elected state and local officials.

One week in residence on the OSU campus
Format includes lectures, panels, interactive experiences, and frequent dialogue
Participation is by invitation only based on nomination from state leaders

Participants include recently elected township trustees, city council members, mayors, school board members, county commissioners, other county officeholders, and state representatives.

Participation is by invitation based on nominations from state party leaders, Ohio House leadership, the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, Ohio Municipal League, Ohio School Boards Association, and Ohio Township Association.

$200 application fee.

Training materials, lodging and most meals are provided through generous support from the State of Ohio Leadership Institute.

Participants arrive noon Monday and depart Friday.

Lodging and most meals are provided on campus.

Page Hall is home base for instruction, but participants will also attend off-campus learning activities.
