While most know Sen. Glenn as an astronaut and politician, he proudly described himself as a Marine first. He was a highly decorated Marine Corps fighter pilot who flew 149 combat missions in World War II and the Korean War.
In celebration of Sen. John Glenn’s 100th birthday and Veterans Day, the Glenn College is teaming up with the National Veterans Memorial and Museum for a special event in celebration of his prestigious combat career as a Marine aviator. Dean Trevor Brown will join the NVMM President and CEO Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter and Chief of Staff Col. Bill Butler for their November Rally Point, a virtual program dedicated to connecting and educating veterans, veterans’ families and those who wish to support veterans.
