Samantha Ellwood

As a program manager on the Professional Development team, Sammie Ellwood works collaboratively to deliver high quality professional engagement opportunities for the public sector. She oversees the Leadership Certificate for Public & Nonprofit Professionals (LCERT), the Public Safety Leadership Academy (PSLA) and various custom trainings. 

Before joining the Professional Development team, Ellwood served as the Glenn College graduate programs manager and supported the development of various new master's and certificate programs. She more recently served as the assistant director of the Risk Institute at Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business, where she contributed to strategic initiatives and operational improvements. She has also recruited for various startup companies, bringing a unique perspective on workforce development. Ellwood is dedicated to creating impactful professional development and continuing education programs, as well as strategic planning and relationship building. She earned her MPA from the Glenn College and her BA in cultural anthropology from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College.
