Sarah Childs

John Glenn Graduate Fellow

Sarah Childs will complete her graduate fellowship with Novogradac Consulting LLP. Prior to beginning her Master of Public Administration, Ms. Childs graduated from Miami University in 2018 with degrees in Political Science and History. Her undergraduate thesis studied refugees from Czechoslovakia following WWII. She was inspired by Madeleine Albright, the first woman Secretary of State and a refugee from Czechoslovakia herself. Her experience researching and writing her thesis ignited a passion for research and an interest in how policy affects those at an individual level. Ms. Childs plans on applying that passion to her career in D.C., which she has prepared for by working with the public extensively through previous customer service positions. She also served as a Poll Worker in Summit County during the November 2019 election to serve her local community by helping individuals express their right to vote.

Sarah Childs chose the Glenn College and MPA-DC program so she can start her career in D.C. while gaining tangible skills. She has numerous policy interests, including education, environmental, equal rights, and foreign policy, that she plans to explore during her time in D.C.

The Glenn College curriculum is supporting her pursuit of these interests while having the opportunity to network with the many distinguished OSU alumni.
