Sol Moreira-Chavez

Sol Moreira-Chavez is a senior from Manta, Manabi, Ecuador. She immigrated to Defiance, Ohio from her home country, Ecuador, in 2019. Ms. Moreira-Chavez obtained her Associates of Arts from Northwest State Community College in 2021. Currently, she is working towards obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her minor in Public Policy. Ms. Moreira-Chavez has gained valuable professional experience through her intern roles in The Ohio State House, The Franklin County Board of Elections, The Franklin County Auditor’s Office, and most recently the Nan Whaley for Governor of Ohio campaign. On campus, she is part of the Large Executive Board of College Democrats. This fall, as a WAIP fellow Sol is interning with Forbes Tate Partners.
