Spencer Love

John Glenn Graduate Fellow

Spencer Love will complete his graduate fellowship with the United Stated Agency for International Development, Office of Legislative Affairs. Mr. Love worked with the Franklin County Board of Elections where he operated the County’s voter participation and education program during the 2020 election cycle. Before starting his MPA, Mr. Love earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from The Ohio State University. During his time as an undergraduate, Mr. Love spent his time working with children - he volunteered with a national nonprofit, Young Life, working with high school students by encouraging them in their faith, and built relationships through coaching football and track.

Mr. Love chose the MPA-DC program for the opportunity to establish connections, gain tangible work experience at the federal level, and earn his degree while starting his career in DC. Mr. Love’s desire to work in federal policy stems from his passion to help others and his devotion to public service. Mr. Love plans to pursue a career in foreign policy and international development, focusing on environmental sustainability while addressing human rights and equality around the world. Mr. Love sees the impact the global climate crisis has on marginalized communities around the world and hopes to use public policy and federal government tools to address this issue.

Mr. Love values the leadership and the devotion to positive change exhibited by his peers in the MPA cohort. He recognizes and appreciates the effort put forth by the John Glenn College staff and professors to establish a unique graduate experience that instills the values required of future public servants.
