Casey Smith

John Glenn Graduate Fellow

Casey Smith is an emerging professional with a strong foundation in public administration, political science, and a passion for public service. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Affairs at Ohio State University's John Glenn College of Public Affairs, she graduated summa cum laude from Muskingum University with a Bachelor’s in Public Administration and Political Science. 

Casey has a diverse work background that includes experiences as an Associate at Marshalls, where she excelled in customer service, and a Courthouse Intern at the Carl B. Stokes Federal Courthouse, where she gained valuable insight into legal proceedings and government functions. Additionally, she has contributed as a Research Fellow, providing detailed policy research and grant recommendations. 

Her leadership skills are evident through her role as Resident Assistant at Muskingum University and her involvement in student organizations, including serving as President of the Black Student Union and Treasurer of the Student Senate. Casey also engaged in meaningful community service, including organizing successful philanthropy events and contributing as a volunteer at Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center. 

With research experience focused on public policy, urban planning, and law enforcement optimization, Casey is dedicated to using her skills to positively impact communities and organizations.
