Director of Student Services and Programs

Biography

Chris Adams has been at The Ohio State University in one capacity or another since 2001, when he began as a student. Adams graduated from Ohio State with a double major in history and political science in 2005 and then enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program at the Glenn School. After completing the MPA program in 2007, Adams worked as an academic advisor with the College of Arts and Sciences before joining the Glenn College staff in January of 2008. He played a lead role in the development of the Glenn College’s undergraduate program and now oversees all aspects of the student services office, including recruitment, advising, career services and co-curricular student leadership programs.

 

  • Directs student services office and supervises staff
  • Manages recruitment and marketing for undergraduate degree programs
  • Manages academic advising (scheduling, petitions, transfer credit, etc.) for Glenn students
  • Works with faculty on the development of new classes, specializations, programs and assessment tools
  • Directs Glenn College honors program
  • Serves as staff advisor for John Glenn Civic Leadership Council and Public Affairs Student Association
  • Serves as liaison to university offices such as Undergraduate Admissions, First Year Experiences, Honors & Scholars, Education Abroad and Student Life
