Debra Jasper

Debra Jasper, Ph.D., co-teaches graduate courses with Dean Trevor Brown on hybrid management and effective communication in today's distracted, AI world.

Named one of the top "Winning Women" entrepreneurs in North America by EY, Debra specializes in helping professionals communicate with clarity and impact. She's delivered keynotes and master classes on that topic in more than a dozen countries around the world, from Ukraine to Dubai.

Outside of her Ohio State teaching role, Debra serves as the CEO of the leading consulting and training firm, Mindset Digital.

Before launching Mindset, Debra was the Director of the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism in the John Glenn School of Public Affairs. During that time, she launched the first social media fellowship for journalists in the world, and worked with CNN, 60 Minutes, the Los Angeles Times and other top newsrooms.

Earlier in her career, she was an award-winning investigative reporter who covered government agencies, state and national campaigns and politics. She wrote her dissertation on powerful storytelling in Appalachia.
