Management Advancement for the Public Service (MAPS)

One-day training on a specific skill

For more than 50 years, Ohio’s public and nonprofit professionals have relied on MAPS to become better managers. Each one-day course is designed to sharpen your skills, advance your career and nurture your passion for public service.

Program Highlights:

Built for public and nonprofit professionals at all career levels.

Gain practical management and leadership skills
Earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit and Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Anyone can register – there is no application process

$275 per course.

Assistance may be available to cover program costs through The Ohio State University or other employer-sponsored professional development programs.

Discounted rates of $225 per course are available if your employer is a MAPS Member (see "for employers" below).

 

One-day time commitment.

Active participation required to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit and Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Class size is capped so everyone has an opportunity to participate.

Online hours: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A virtual course link and password will be emailed in advance.

On campus: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Lunch and parking included.

Employers who purchase 12 or more registrations become a MAPS member and receive a discounted rate of $225 per course.
