Nazek Hapasha

Lecturer

With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, Nazek Hapasha has dedicated her career to advancing social justice, community building and public service. As a dynamic leader, she has developed and executed successful programs, policies and projects aimed at empowering communities and fostering equitable participation in democratic processes. Most recently serving as the policy affairs manager for the League of Women Voters of Ohio, Hapasha played a critical role in promoting civic engagement, counteracting election-related intimidation and building resilience among underrepresented groups. Her work has been pivotal in helping organizations navigate complex electoral landscapes and promoting peaceful participation in democracy. 

In addition to her work with the League of Women Voters of Ohio, Hapasha has been instrumental in founding and managing educational programs that serve Muslim youth. Her experience in education, mentorship and program development reflects a deep commitment to integrating rigorous academic standards with holistic approaches to student growth.

Hapasha holds a Master of Public Administration from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and a BA in Political Science and Communication from William Paterson University.
