August 2023 Updates

  • Rich Shein, MPA ’78, is retiring this month after 18 years as the CFO at the New-York Historical Society. He continues to teach as an adjunct professor at NYU and CUNY. 
  • Steve Adams, MPA ’12, was recently promoted to chief budget procurement officer at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.  
  • Margo D. Arnold, BA ’13, has started a new position as a community engagement coordinator for the Center for Family Voice at Groundwork Ohio. 
  • Wen Guo, MPA ’14, PhD ’19, is starting a new position as assistant professor of arts administration at Florida State University. 
  • Melissa Salamon, MA ’14, has joined The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland as a senior attorney for the economic justice team. 
  • Taylor Stepp, BA ’14, started a new job as the manager of incentives and credits for EY.  
  • Kelsey Hiegel, MPA ’15, is working now as a healthcare consultant for Milliman. 
  • Sophie Anderson, BS ’19, is beginning a new role as external affairs campaign manager for Planned Parenthood of Greater New York. 
  • Jennifer Hill, MPA ’19, has recently joined the Office of Research at The Ohio State University College of Public Health.  
  • Will Sullivan, Arts Policy ’19, works with the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment as a policy analyst. 
  • Jacob Spiegel, BA ’21, is working at the Jewish Democratic Council of America as a communications manager. 
  • Andrew Pierce, BS/MPA ’23, is starting a new job as a Congressional Fellow with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

  • W. Fletch Zimpher, MPA ’08, has started a new position as director of communications and external affairs at the Ohio Department of Transportation. 
  • Joseph Clark III, MPA ’11, recently became vice president on the startup banking team at J.P. Morgan.  
  • Philip DeSenze, MA ’12, started a new position as a Legislative Fellow in the office of U.S. Sen. John Tester at The Brookings Institution. 
  • Molly Mottram, BA ’13, is now the associate director at the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation. 
  • Nathan Parker, MPA ’13, is now director of school programs and supports at the Tennessee Public Charter School Commission. 
  • Isabelle Bowers, BA ’15, has begun a new position as staff attorney at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP.
