John Glenn College of Public Affairs Dean Trevor Brown delivered a keynote address celebrating Sen. John Glenn’s life of public service and contemplating the public-private partnership role in the future of space exploration at the 4th Annual John Glenn Symposium.

His talk was titled John Herschel Glenn: From Public-Led, Private-Supplied to Private-Led, Public Governed Space Exploration.

The three-day event, the theme of which was “An Electrifying Future: Earth and Space Sustainability,” in July was sponsored by the American Astronautical Society in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University and NASA Glenn Research Center. Professor John Horack served on the planning committee for the symposium. Horack is the Neil Armstrong Chair in Aerospace Policy and holds a joint appointment between the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering and the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
