Seneca Ransom

John Glenn Graduate Fellow

Seneca Ransom is an accomplished public affairs professional currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs. With a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from Malone University, where they graduated summa cum laude, Seneca demonstrates academic excellence alongside practical experience in public service and advocacy. 

Their diverse professional background includes roles such as Domestic Policy & Advocacy Intern at the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where they published policy articles and conducted lobby visits. Seneca also gained valuable experience as a Staff & Press Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives, drafting press materials and contributing to communications strategies for key legislative initiatives. 

Seneca has a passion for community service, demonstrated through their volunteer work at Jewish Family Services, where they assist refugees in learning English and navigating state benefits. In addition, their role as Summer Lunch Program Site Coordinator with Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority highlights their commitment to youth services and program management. 

With a strong foundation in public policy, communication, and community engagement, Seneca is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a meaningful impact in the public sector. Their leadership, research, and advocacy experiences reflect a dedication to public service and improving the lives of others.
