Veteran and Military Community Support
Military service is one of the most honorable ways a citizen can serve their country. Many students at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs are veterans, plan to serve in the military after graduation, or come from military backgrounds and families.
Military-connected students bring with them a passion for service and drive to make a difference, the true embodiment of the Glenn College mission.
A Marine First
John Glenn had a storied career. Most know of his orbits around the earth and his long tenure as a Senator serving the State of Ohio. But John Glenn would argue that, above all else, he was United States Marine.
The lessons of leadership and selflessness learned in uniform became the compass of his career, guiding both his own achievements and the founding principles of Glenn College.
Serving Those Who Serve
Ohio State’s office of Military and Veterans Services works with over 2,100 veterans, active-duty, guard members, reservists, ROTC members and military family members to support academic success.
The Glenn College offers these resources to over 75 students, including undergraduates, graduates and professionals seeking continuing education.
- The Ohio State University strives to ensure the academic success of military-connected students by assisting them as they pursue an advanced degree and/or certificate. To better serve this population Ohio State has adopted the University Policy on Valuing Our Military-Connected Students: Support & Assistance
