Curriculum
Turning your passion into policy requires extensive training in policy analysis, public finance and economics, plus an understanding of public leadership and civic engagement.
Curriculum requirements may change based on when you are admitted to the university. Students admitted to the university before Autumn 2022 should consult with a Public Affairs advisor on degree requirements.
Policy Analysis students will be prepared for analytical roles in public and nonprofit organizations.

Core curriculum includes the following courses:
- PUBAFRS 2110: Introduction to Public Affairs
- PUBAFRS 2120: Public Service and Civic Engagement
- PUBAFRS 3000: Public Policy Analysis (prerequisites: ECON 2001 and data analysis)
- PUBAFRS 3500: Public Management (recommended prerequisite: PUBAFRS 2110)
- PUBAFRS 4000: Public Evaluation (prerequisite: PUBAFRS 3000)
- PUBAFRS 4010: Public Affairs Decision-Making (prerequisite: PUBAFRS 3000)
Minors
The John Glenn College of Public Affairs gives students the opportunity to specialize by choosing a minor, which allows them to focus on a particular area of interest or develop a specific skill.
