The Public Leadership Academy brings together a bipartisan group of state and local elected leaders who want to build trust across the aisle and return to political life with a better understanding of their colleagues and a renewed commitment to public service. This unique one week in residence training offers lectures, panels, interactive experiences and dialogue for newly selected state and local officials. Participants include recently elected township trustees, city council members, mayors, school board members, county commissioners, other county officeholders, and state representatives.

Participation is by invitation based on nominations from state party leaders, Ohio House leadership, the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, Ohio Municipal League, Ohio School Boards Association, and Ohio Township Association.
